Mapua Wharfside Apartments are ideally situated on the beautiful, ever changing Waimea estuary with direct access to the wharf and beach. Once a busy coastal freight wharf, during the orchard heyday, Mapua wharf is now a focal point for locals and holiday makers. Here you can enjoy the cafe & restaurant culture, arts and crafts, boutique brewery, and listen to the occasional live music. You can watch the world go by and be at peace, relaxing within the comfort of the light and airy well-equipped apartment or BBQ on the private decks.

Very lovely apartments. Right in the estuary edge. Spacious with lovely amenities. Suited our bike group well. Awesome views to wake up to and relax with in the evening. Very close the restaurant and shops.
The view is to die for! Right on the water edge and a lovely warm apartment. Very comfortable beds. Location is perfect, right next door to the township. Loved our stay here and we will be back. There were 4 adults and we found the apartment spacious and comfortable. The hosts are lovely people and on-site.
Amazing location, on the estuary with lots of birdlife, changing tides, water activities and so close to the Mapua Village with Arty shops, Wine bar, and several excellent places to eat . Lovely walks around the area , a ferry service to the Island across the water for biking or walking. The apartment catered for 5 adults easily and was well equipped. plenty of outdoor seating areas. We arrived on a very cold day, the heat pump was on and the instructions for entry were very clear on the office window.
This is our third stay at this property and the only place I want to go to for a complete recharge of batteries. Its truly a slice of paradise. Its as quiet and private as you want it to be or pop around the fence and you are in the hub of Mapua wharf with boutique stores, art, great food and locals.

Activities
With so much to do and see on your doorstep, we’ve made sure that you can make the most of your time here by providing plenty of equipment free of charge, including kayaks, life vests, fishing rods and tennis rackets.
Enjoy a peaceful morning kayak. (Life jackets and kayaks available to borrow).
The tennis courts are just a short walk away. (Tennis rackets available to borrow).
Go for an afternoon swim in the estuary. Jumping off the wharf as the tide goes out is a great local sport, a speedy, fun ride for all ages!
There are also a multitude of walking/tramping trails around the Nelson/Tasman region of varying degrees of length and difficulty.
Relax with an evening fishing. (Fishing rods available to borrow).
The Great Taste of Tasman cycle trail runs from Nelson to Kaiteriteri, through Mapua. (Bike hire is available on the Wharf).
Take the ferry across from Mapua to Rabbit Island where you can picnic on the golden sands, cycle the gentle loop or carry on the trail to Nelson. Suitable for all ages and abilities.
